The Yale Locks PM550 Mortice Lock offers a high level of security with lockable latch and 5 lever locks and is suitable for exterior wooden doors. The latch can be extended or retracted from both sides with a key into the corresponding opening in the door frame. The mortise deadlock with 14mm saw protection is recommended for use on house entrance doors in conjunction with a Yale BS night latch lock. A deadbolt lock has a single deadbolt and can be locked and unlocked from both sides with a key. Another shape is the mortise lock, which has both a latch and a latch that can be operated from both sides. The security of mortise locks of both types ranges from 2 to 5 levers.
